SYLVIA DAVIS-PATRICELLI FINE ARTS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Sylvia Davis was a prodigious, interpretive fine arts painter whose life was dedicated not only to her family; but also to capturing an historic pictorial collection on canvas that spanned her entire creative life (1934-2004). As a dedication to her career, a non profit foundation that provides higher education scholarships for graduating high school students in Connecticut pursuing a vocation in the arts/related field has been established.
In keeping with Sylvia's generous, unassuming spirit, these scholarships are being offered to inspire the youth of our current generation to engender the creative spirit that enriches the cultural quality of life.
Please contact her daughter, Susan Patricelli-Regan for further information at [email protected] or call (860) 844-0121.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 4/7/2020
Sylvia Davis Patricelli Foundation to Self-Fund in 2020 in Response to Coronavirus Epidemic
Granby, CT - The Sylvia Davis Patricelli foundation has opted to self-fund in 2020 rather than compete for resources that should go to more crucial charities, its founder, Susan Patricelli Regan said on Sunday.
"We have been working on expanding our scholarship program to the secondary educational level", she said of the art scholarship foundation which currently provides a yearly art scholarship to a graduating senior from Granby High School, "and we’re still committed to that. But we can’t in good conscience raise money in a climate where there is such an immediate need for fundamental resources like food and medical supplies, so this year we decided to self-fund.”
The charity, which the Patricelli Regan family founded in 2019 to honor the work of her mother, Australian portrait painter Sylvia Davis Patricelli, has been funding the scholarship program in partnership with Granby Memorial High School in CT for three years. They had been planning a large event in the spring to help secure funding for a new scholarship for students at the University Of Hartford.
"Obviously, that’s going to be really difficult, if not impossible right now. But we are still committed to our students, and we’re a resourceful bunch. At times like this, you need to get creative."
Patricelli Regan said “that the non-profit’s Board would be considering partnerships with other charities who might benefit from regular donors to help with outreach."
